Hector is the ultimate professional, and his customer service delivery was exemplary. He and his team arrived on time every day and followed instructions while they were doing the work. We felt totally comfortable having them in our home, even when we couldn’t be present. Hector made sure the work was thorough, and we are extremely satisfied with the quality work on this project and his supervision to ensure the job took the time needed to make sure our home will be safe to live in. Luis Tirado and his team (Victor Cervantes, Mario, Carlos, and several others) were amazing from start to finish. Every person I interacted with went above and beyond to make sure they worked around my schedule, kept things clean and contained, and made sure my health was not at risk during the cleanup. Alejandro Romero was the supervisor for our job and was just over the top amazing. He even moved our fridge back in place himself once the job was over so we didn’t have to wait another day without it. He was so professional and made sure we were happy every step of the way. Back in January 2022, I returned home from work to find our refrigerator in the kitchen had been leaking water from the ice maker, covering the kitchen floor with a pool of water, which caused damage to the flooring in the kitchen and living room, including baseboards and drywall in areas. I called my insurance company, who dispatched ServiceMASTER Restore, who arrived the following morning to assess the damage and began the process of drying everything quickly. I was provided frequent updates from Nico Ponce, Project Manager assigned to my case. ServiceMASTER removed the laminate flooring from the kitchen and half of the living room, removed the bottom kitchen cabinets, baseboards, and some drywall. During the process, some mold was discovered behind the drywall below the kitchen sink. The mold was removed, area sanitized and ready to start the replacement of the water-damaged areas. Later, when the General Contractor said I needed to schedule a “pack out” of everything from the kitchen and living room, including furniture and kitchen cabinets (All the cabinets were being replaced). I was not sure who to contact, so I reached out again to Nico for a recommendation, and she mentioned they offer “pack-out” and return services and would have Sofia reach out to schedule an estimate. Nicole arrived to assess our “pack-out” needs, provided me and my insurance company with an estimate and scheduled the service. A team of four people arrived as scheduled and did an amazing job of packing everything with great care, including labeling each box with the contents and location (which kitchen cabinet the contents of the box were from), which made it so much easier when putting everything back once the new cabinets were installed. Fire at 2 am on a Saturday night
With pandemic times, deaths in family, various kinds of pressure, I—VERY OCCASIONALLY—stress smoke on my front steps. Usually a bit paranoid about putting out the cigarette before throwing in the trash bin.
This time, no muscle memory of putting out my cigarette or throwing it in the bin—distracted. One hour later—the trash bin was no more, and my front door and frame were on fire at 2 am on a Saturday night. Fortunately, a neighbor alerted us, and we had a fire extinguisher handy, and things were fine. Still, our door is pretty damaged now, as is the frame, and there was a lot of smoke billowing into the house.
Service Master was assigned to us by Farmers Insurance, and they came right over the day after the fire and put in machines to help clean the air. Then Nicole, a project manager, did a very thorough job of going through the apartment and assessing areas to clean to get rid of smell and soot, and finally had a wonderful crew led by Christina come to the house and do really meticulous work in the most impacted areas, and then wiped down the rest of the surfaces and floors. Rugs and furniture cleaning will happen tomorrow.
While there wasn't a lot of visible damage, there was a strong odor, soot everywhere throughout the house, and I wanted to make sure that everything was 100% assessed and cleaned so that I don't have regret later down the road, find myself replacing things.
Everyone was super nice and helpful—good experience in the wake of my 'face palm' moment. And yeah, definitely kicking the habit now.
