I have worked with ServiceMaster of Kalamazoo at a business level for many years and have always been very impressed with their customer service, communication, thoroughness, and integrity. Recently, and for the first time, I had an opportunity to work with them outside of work, so on a personal level, let's say. A young family member had a flooded basement; Mike VandenBerg showed up in record time, was super patient with these young new homeowners, walked them through the process at a level they could understand, and started the cleanup and dry-out process. From a mom who got to see ServiceMaster in motion firsthand and a property manager who has dealt with them from behind a computer for years, I can't say enough great things about this company. I can't remember the lady's name, long dark hair, was extremely kind and professional. Matt, the one who came out to inspect a situation we had, is so honest and kind. We suffered tremendous damage during a wind storm of 5/15/2025. ServiceMaster came to our home cleaning the damaged areas. They returned after the damage was repaired and thoroughly cleaned the interior of the house. They were kind and considerate, working hard to restore our home to the pristine and livable condition it had been prior to the storm. Joe did a great job!
Clean water flooding. Called ServiceMaster. They sent two men (Joe Tillman & Dan) out right away. They took charge and went above and beyond to get things out of the way and set up blowers and dehumidifiers. They returned daily to check progress and adjustments of equipment. Joe then returned alone to remove the necessary equipment and check the moisture. Today he was able to remove all equipment. Joe was friendly and courteous. He did a great job! I highly recommend ServiceMaster! Thank you Joe, Dan and everyone involved.

I had the best experience with ServiceMaster after a leak from my fridge caused damage to my kitchen floors, basement ceiling and walls, and left water in my basement carpet. They are knowledgeable, friendly, thorough, and efficient. They had to come by every day for over a week, and Joe came by a few times; he was great and always provided great service.

These guys are heroes! We came home from a weekend getaway with our family to a home flood that flooded our master suite bathroom and bedroom and the entire finished basement (1500+ sq feet) with 1/2 inch of standing water. ServiceMaster was there within an hour to start the water removal process and had the standing water out within hours. We had 35 or so floor fans in our house and 4-5 dehumidifiers (it was a massive job) and the entire home was dry in 5 days. I didn't even smell a hint of mildew or mold after the drying process. The crew was extremely professional, polite, and communicated really well. I especially appreciated the phone calls when they were on the way over. (I'm terrible with names so I wish I could call them out to recognize them individually). I thought our home was done for, but the drying and their process was top-notch. We almost advocated for a local business to come out but glad we had worked with this crew. It was very clear that they knew what they were doing, and the experienced staff that they have kept us from potentially massive damage and made us feel like we were working with partners.
